In a world where we attempt to explain and rationalize day to day events, there are those that occur that are beyond our knowledge that have a vast impact on our lives. Nassim Taleb posited in 2007 that these rare moments, termed "Black Swan Events," have occurred many times in history and have had long lasting effects. The Black Swan Project seeks to prevent the negative consequences of these events from transpiring, exploit possible positive outcomes, respond to said events through research and planning, and guard the unknowing from any sinister patterns generated from these moments. More simply stated, The Project works to protect the innocent from the uncontrollable forces that swirl around them. Our motto, Perceptum ex Preteritus , Persevero in Tendo, Quod Instruo Pro Posterus, is direct and simple: "Learn from the past, Persevere in the Present, and Prepare for the Future"
